Defects in plaster work-how to repair.

Plaster work have these main defects,

1-.Cracks

2-Pitting and Blowing

3-Falling out of plaster

Reason on Behind it--

Cracks--

1. Structural Defects in building.
2. Uneven of surface
3. Discontinuity of Surface
4. Plastering on too wet surface.
5. Over rapid drying of plaster 
6. Excessive shrinkage
7. Thick coats of Plaster

Pitting and Blowing--

1. Slacking 
2. Hydration of Cement
3. Not proper curing

Falling out of plaster--

1. Not proper key to hold.
2. More moisture in wall surface. 
3. More thermal changes.
4. Rapid drying
5. Not have proper time gap between plaster coats.

Repairing of plaster ---

• Hair cracks should be repaired from pop.
• Others cracks can be repaired from the mix of Plaster of Paris : Cement : Sand.(1:2:7)
